Pokarna(down 0.91%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 0.45%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 0.27%), Ashapura Minechem(down 0.20%) and MOIL(down 0.18%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 105.15 points down at 17513.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 375.57 points at 58750.79 at around 11:11AM.
JSW Steel(up 1.53%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.48%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.87%), Tata Steel(up 0.63%), UltraTech Cement(up 0.63%), Cipla(up 0.5%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.44%), Coal India(up 0.41%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 0.4%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.32%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki(down 2.63%), Bajaj Finserv(down 2.6%), Asian Paints(down 2.15%), Bajaj Finance(down 1.93%), HDFC(down 1.63%), Bharti Airtel(down 1.59%), ICICI Bank(down 1.41%), NTPC(down 1.3%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.12%) and HDFC Bank(down 1.03%) were trading in the red.
