RBLBANK(up 1.81 per cent), Bandhan Bank(up 1.31 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank(up 0.84 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 0.5 per cent) and State Bank of India(up 0.25 per cent) were among the top gainers.
ICICI Bank(down 1.22 per cent), HDFC Bank(down 0.9 per cent), IndusInd Bank(down 0.49 per cent), IDFCBANK(down 0.42 per cent) and Federal Bank(down 0.3 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.45 per cent at 37254.9 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 86.45 points at 17531.7, while the BSE Sensex was down 319.85 points at 58806.51.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.

Shares of Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd., Dynemic Product, GTPL Hathway, Vinyl Chemicals and BEW Engineering Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Opto Circuits, Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd., Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd., Metalyst Forgings and BKM Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
