Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(up 7.72%), AVADHSUGAR(up 4.81%), Ugar Sugar Works(up 4.14%), Triveni Engineering & Industries(up 3.86%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(up 3.51%), Simbhaoli Sugars(up 3.36%), Bannari Amman Sugars(up 2.30%), Dharani Sugars & Chemicals(up 2.19%), K.M.Sugar Mills(up 2.15%) and Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(up 2.05%) stood among the top gainers.
Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(down 2.22%), Shree Renuka Sugars(down 0.18%) and Balrampur Chini Mills(down 0.07%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 86.1 points down at 17532.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 360.78 points at 58765.58.
Mahindra & Mahindra(up 3.09%), Coal India(up 1.94%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 1.68%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.54%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.21%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.18%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.03%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.02%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.98%) and JSW Steel(up 0.89%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finserv(down 3.42%), Maruti Suzuki(down 2.4%), Asian Paints(down 2.06%), Bajaj Finance(down 1.9%), Bharti Airtel(down 1.8%), HDFC(down 1.55%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.52%), NTPC(down 1.37%), ICICI Bank(down 1.21%) and Tata Consultancy(down 1.2%) closed in the red.
