NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 692.16 points up at 59457.74 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Yamuna Syndicate(down 11.60 per cent), Paragon Finance(down 10.91 per cent), RMC Switchgears(down 9.25 per cent), Panth Infinity(down 9.18 per cent) and RTCL Ltd(down 8.84 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 41 stocks traded in the green, while 8 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 193.3 points up at 17725.35.
On the BSE, Purple Entertainment, Jiya Eco Products Lt, Paos Industries, Parenteral Drug and Arihant Institute hit their fresh 52-week lows, while India Glycols, Patel Eng, RTS Power, Alkali Metals and Kamdhenu touched their fresh 52-week highs.
