NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 65.40 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 16.12 crore), ONGC(numbers of share traded: 13.12 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 9.68 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 6.26 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 5.92 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 5.55 crore), NALCO(numbers of share traded: 5.39 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 4.33 crore) and Coal India Ltd(numbers of share traded: 4.24 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 131.05 points up at 17822.3, while BSE Sensex ended up 445.56 points at 59744.88.
On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 2.40 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.06 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd.(down 1.79 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.58 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.38 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
