NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 2.58 points down at 59742.30 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, United Credit(down 9.98 per cent), RTCL Ltd(down 9.94 per cent), Captain Pipes(down 8.84 per cent), Joonktollee Tea(down 7.82 per cent) and DCW Ltd(down 7.55 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 18 stocks traded in the green, while 32 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 5.1 points down at 17817.2.
On the BSE, SBL Infratech Ltd., Nova Pub, Aroma Enterpris, Paos Industries and Shalimar Prod hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Kranti Industries, TCM Ltd, AksharChem Ltd, Bharat Gears and Taylormade Renewable touched their fresh 52-week highs.
