NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 45.52 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 15.64 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 12.42 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 10.12 crore), ONGC(numbers of share traded: 10.12 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 7.67 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 6.18 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 5.26 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 4.75 crore) and Patel Eng(numbers of share traded: 4.25 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 176.3 points down at 17646.0, while BSE Sensex ended down 555.15 points at 59189.73.
On the other hand, SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 3.95 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 3.92 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 3.14 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 2.96 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(down 2.81 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
