NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 17.08 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 9.72 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 6.53 crore), ONGC(number of shares traded: 6.24 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 5.50 crore), Patel Eng(number of shares traded: 3.39 crore), Trident Ltd(number of shares traded: 3.22 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 3.13 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 2.70 crore) and Coal India Ltd(number of shares traded: 2.53 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:06AM in Wednesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 0.25 points up at 17822.55, while BSE Sensex was up 22.08 points at 59766.96 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 3.36 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 3.20 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.00 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.90 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.34 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.28 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.44 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.20 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
