NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 26.75 crore), Tata Motors(numbers of share traded: 16.32 crore), Trident Ltd(numbers of share traded: 15.71 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 15.09 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 13.21 crore), Reliance Comm(numbers of share traded: 8.84 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 7.33 crore), ONGC(numbers of share traded: 5.98 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 5.62 crore) and Ashok Leyland(numbers of share traded: 4.29 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 144.35 points up at 17790.35, while BSE Sensex ended up 488.1 points at 59677.83.
On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 4.58 per cent), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent) and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
