NEW DELHI: JP Power(number of shares traded: 22.98 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 13.85 crore), Tata Motors(number of shares traded: 5.60 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 4.40 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 3.04 crore), Reliance Comm(number of shares traded: 3.02 crore), Bank of Baroda(number of shares traded: 2.86 crore), Indian Energy Exchg(number of shares traded: 2.08 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 1.96 crore) and YES Bank(number of shares traded: 1.89 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:34AM in Monday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 79.8 points up at 17975.0, while BSE Sensex was up 208.43 points at 60267.49 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 7.81 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 4.80 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 3.44 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 3.10 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 2.71 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 5.61 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.82 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.45 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
