Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today’s trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Hindprakash Industri, GOCL Corporation, Aban Offshore, Kirloskar Elec and Hindustan Motor, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday’s trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 50.75 points up at 17945.95 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Jiya Eco Products Lt, Jainam Ferro Alloys(I)Ltd., Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd. and Coastal Corp, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 33 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 17 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Motors, Coal India Ltd, Maruti Suzuki, Grasim Inds. and Power Grid were among top gainers during the day, while TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, HCL Tech and Wipro ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 76.72 points up at 60135.78.

Traders piled up positions in Retail, Mining, Airlines, Infrastructure and Auto sectors, while selling was witnessed in Textiles, Learning & Education, Telecommunications, Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock and IT Software sectors during the day.
