NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 84.96 points down at 60050.82 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, H S India(down 18.15 per cent), Econo Trade(I)(down 12.83 per cent), Norris Medicine(down 9.95 per cent), Jindal Capital(down 9.94 per cent) and Narayani Steels(down 9.89 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 21 stocks traded in the green, while 29 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 21.6 points down at 17924.35.
On the BSE, SBL Infratech Ltd., Ambition Mica, Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd., ANS Industries and Nova Pub hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Brahmaputra Inf, Tyroon Tea Co, Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Ltd., Times Guaranty and TAAL Enterprises touched their fresh 52-week highs.
