Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Tuesday’s session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 148.53 points up at 60284.31 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Pro Fin Capital(down 12.48 per cent), Olympia Ind(down 11.90 per cent), Prabhat Tech(down 11.24 per cent), Agrimony Comdts.(down 10.71 per cent) and Syncom Form(down 9.98 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.

In the Nifty pack, 29 stocks closed in the green, while 21 stocks ended in the red.

The index closed 46.0 points up at 17991.95.

On the BSE, SBL Infratech Ltd., Agrimony Comdts., Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd., ANS Industries and Supreme Holdings & hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Brahmaputra Inf, Virat Ind, NHC Foods, Tyroon Tea Co and Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
