NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 31.18 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 19.46 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 17.93 crore), IDBI Bank(numbers of share traded: 16.83 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 10.83 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 10.72 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 10.50 crore), Tata Motors(numbers of share traded: 9.73 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 6.80 crore) and IFCI(numbers of share traded: 5.61 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 46.0 points up at 17991.95, while BSE Sensex ended up 148.53 points at 60284.31.
On the other hand, HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 4.03 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.94 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.84 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 1.80 per cent) and Shree Cements Ltd.(down 1.13 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
