Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 28.45 points to 17917.5 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd., Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd. and Servotech Power Syst, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 18 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 32 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Titan Company, Bajaj Auto, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Finserv and Tata Motors were among top gainers, while HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Coal India Ltd, HDFC Life and UltraTech Cem. traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 95.97 points down at 60039.81 at 11:01AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Diversified, Tourism & Hospitality, Gems and Jewellery, Tea / Coffee and Beverages – Alcoholic sectors, while selling was visible in Learning & Education, Textiles, Power, Telecommunications and Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock sectors.
