Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Tata Motors(20.43%), Tata Motors(DVR)(20.0%), Tayo Rolls(20.0%), Sical Logistics(19.99%), Arvind Ltd(19.99%), Vaswani Ind(19.98%), Brahmaputra Inf(19.97%), NRB Industrial(19.96%), Sharika Enterprises(19.93%) and MEP Infrastructure(19.91%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 452.74 points up at 60737.05, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 169.8 points up at 18161.75.
In the Nifty50 index, 36 stocks closed in the green, while 13 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Tata Motors, Tata Motors(DVR), Tayo Rolls, Arvind Ltd and Brahmaputra Inf hit their fresh 52-week high, while Triveni Enterprises, SBL Infratech Ltd., AA Plus Tradelink Ltd., Alfa Transform and Regency Investments touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
