Ashish Kacholia portfolio stocks: Ashish Kacholia bought stake in this multibagger debutant in Sept quarter

New Delhi: Marquee investor Ashish Kacholia entered a latest multibagger debutant of Dalal Street in September 2021, his shareholding shows.

According to data from Trendlyne, the smallcap czar has made a fresh entry in Ami Organics. As of September 30, 2021, Kacholia held 4,91,474 equity shares or 1.35 stake in the company, which was worth Rs 65.1 crore at Wednesday’s price.

Shares of Ami Organics were listed on September 14, 2021 and the company delivered a listing pop of 49 per cent, making its debut at Rs 910.

The scrip settled at Rs 1,322.85 on Wednesday, 117 per cent higher than its issue price of Rs 610. The counter has soared as much as 135 per cent, scaling its new 52-week high of Rs 1,438.50 on September 22.

As per the latest corporate shareholdings filed so far, Kacholia publicly holds 25 stocks with a net worth of over Rs 1,826.9 crore.

He has also bought fresh stake in VRL Logistics, Gateway Distriparks and Xpro India during the July-September 2021 period, whereas he has exited Birlasoft.

The Rs 570 crore IPO of Ami Organics was open for subscription between September 1 to September 3 and the issue was subscribed 64.54 times.

The category for qualified institutional buyers was subscribed 86.64 times while those for non-institutional investors attracted 154.81 times subscription. The quota reserved for retail individual investors was subscribed 13.36 times.

The Surat-based Ami Organics is one of the major manufacturers of pharma intermediates for certain key active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). It has developed and commercialized over 450 pharma intermediates for APIs across 17 key therapeutic areas.
