Laurus(up 2.43 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(up 1.82 per cent), Divis Laboratories(up 1.05 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.97 per cent) and Cadila Healthcare(up 0.89 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Alembic Pharmaceuticals(down 0.38 per cent), Lupin(down 0.26 per cent), Granules India(down 0.23 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(down 0.13 per cent) and Abbott India(down 0.06 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.67 per cent at 14777.85 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 125.05 points at 18286.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 363.1 points at 61100.15.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.
