NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 34.81 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 24.58 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 15.09 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 14.69 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 13.16 crore), Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 8.04 crore), South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 7.91 crore), Adani Power(numbers of share traded: 7.18 crore), TV18 Broadcast(numbers of share traded: 6.96 crore) and Indian Energy Exchg(numbers of share traded: 6.54 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 58.3 points down at 18418.75, while BSE Sensex ended down 49.54 points at 61716.05.
On the other hand, ITC Ltd.(down 6.32 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 5.44 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 4.34 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 4.04 per cent) and Titan Company Ltd.(down 4.01 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
