Adani Power(up 7.47%), Jyoti Structures(up 4.86%), PTC India(up 4.84%), Orient Green Power Company(up 4.12%), CESC(up 2.44%), Indowind Energy(up 2.34%), Energy Development Company(up 1.36%), Alstom T&D India(up 1.33%), Voltamp Transformers(up 1.17%) and Karma Energy(up 1.13%) were among the top gainers.
K.P.I. Global Infras(down 4.85%), PIGL(down 4.75%), Tata Power Company(down 4.06%), NTL(down 3.85%), NLC India(down 2.67%), Reliance Power(down 2.65%), Inox wind(down 2.53%), Gujarat Industries Power(down 2.51%), SJVN(down 1.84%) and JSW Energy(down 1.62%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 67.4 points up at 18544.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 297.03 points at 62062.62 at around 10:55AM.
Tech Mahindra(up 3.67%), Larsen & Toubro(up 2.69%), Wipro(up 2.22%), HCL Technologies(up 2.14%), Infosys(up 1.81%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.65%), Reliance Industries(up 1.16%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.12%), Nestle India(up 0.88%) and Tata Consultancy(up 0.76%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, ITC(down 4.08%), Eicher Motors(down 2.27%), Titan Company Ltd(down 2.16%), UltraTech Cement(down 2.05%), JSW Steel(down 1.62%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.5%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.42%), Tata Motors(down 1.17%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.99%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.88%) were trading in the red.
