NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 30.43 points down at 61685.62 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, IRCTC(down 13.29 per cent), Mastek Ltd(down 12.11 per cent), Sical Logistics(down 9.99 per cent), Sharika Enterprises(down 9.96 per cent) and Madhucon Proj(down 8.91 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 23 stocks traded in the green, while 27 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 12.75 points down at 18406.0.
On the BSE, Texel Ind(PP), SREI Infra Fin, JLAInfraville&Shop, KIFS Financial and Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Arihant Found, Transport Corp, Vaksons Automobiles, Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd. and Oriental Hotels touched their fresh 52-week highs.
