Indowind Energy(up 4.62%), Karma Energy(up 2.63%), Jyoti Structures(up 1.98%), JSW Energy(up 0.74%), Indo Tech Transformers(up 0.60%), Energy Development Company(up 0.46%), KEC International(up 0.43%), CESC(up 0.21%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.15%) were among the top gainers.
Orient Green Power Company(down 4.04%), Reliance Power(down 4.02%), NTL(down 4.00%), NLC India(down 2.81%), PTC India(down 2.80%), Adani Transmissions(down 2.58%), Alstom T&D India(down 2.30%), NHPC(down 2.06%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 2.02%) and Adani Power(down 2.00%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 28.4 points down at 18390.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 40.88 points at 61675.17 at around 10:56AM.
Bharti Airtel(up 4.45%), State Bank of India(up 3.03%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.68%), HCL Technologies(up 1.42%), Tata Motors(up 1.38%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.09%), ICICI Bank(up 1.06%), Divis Laboratories(up 0.94%), Shree Cement(up 0.83%) and Asian Paints(up 0.67%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 3.42%), Coal India(down 2.41%), Eicher Motors(down 2.22%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.79%), Titan Company Ltd(down 1.29%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.27%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.23%), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.19%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 1.16%) and Nestle India(down 1.1%) were trading in the red.
