NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Arihant Found(up 19.92%), Vishwaraj Sugar(up 19.82%), IRB Infra Dev.(up 17.6%), RTCL Ltd(up 15.76%), Shoppers Stop(up 15.68%) and Unique Organics(up 15.52%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 351.05 points down at 60908.91, while the 50-share index, NSE was 95.55 points down at 18171.05.
In the Nifty50 index, 16 stocks traded in the green, while 34 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Arihant Found, Vishwaraj Sugar, IRB Infra Dev., Shoppers Stop and Ugro Capital hit their fresh 52-week high, while Texel Ind(PP), Kapil Raj Finance, AA Plus Tradelink Ltd., Ace Men Engg Works and Nutech Global touched their new 52-week low during the session.
