NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 312.75 points down at 60947.21 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Captain Pipes(down 10.96 per cent), Ambition Mica(down 10.00 per cent), Norris Medicine(down 10.00 per cent), The Mandhana Retail(down 9.98 per cent) and Transglobe Foods(down 9.87 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 18 stocks traded in the green, while 31 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 81.15 points down at 18185.45.
On the BSE, Texel Ind(PP), Kapil Raj Finance, AA Plus Tradelink Ltd., Ace Men Engg Works and Nutech Global hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Arihant Found, Vishwaraj Sugar, IRB Infra Dev., Shoppers Stop and Ugro Capital touched their fresh 52-week highs.
