NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 336.46 points down at 60923.50 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Sudal Inds(down 15.94 per cent), Goblin India(down 13.45 per cent), Bansal Roofing Prod.(down 11.01 per cent), UTL Industries (down 9.92 per cent) and GSB Finance(down 9.92 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 19 stocks closed in the green, while 31 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 88.5 points down at 18178.1.
On the BSE, Texel Ind(PP), Ace Men Engg Works, Nutech Global, Advance Lifestyles Ltd. and SREI Infra Fin hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Shoppers Stop, Arihant Found, Vishwaraj Sugar, IRB Infra Dev. and Jindal Worldwide touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
