Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate(up 2.57 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 0.41 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills(down 3.36 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 3.29 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 2.79 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 2.34 per cent) and DLF(down 1.42 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.41 per cent down at 497.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 88.5 points at 18178.1, while the BSE Sensex stood down 336.46 points at 60923.5.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 ended in the green, while 31 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Bank of Baroda, Vodafone Idea, PNB and Tata Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Shoppers Stop, Arihant Found, IRB Infra Dev., Confidence Petro and Jindal Worldwide hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Crown Lifters, Dev Information Tech, SREI Infra Fin, Bhagiradha Chem and Quadpro ITeS Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
