JSW Steel: The steel producer posted an over four-fold jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 7,179 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, mainly driven by higher income. It had reported Rs 1,595 crore net profit in the July-September quarter of the previous fiscal.
Indiamart Intermesh: The B2B e-commerce firm posted an 18 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 82 crore in the second quarter ended September. The company had registered a net profit of Rs 70 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
Indian Energy Exchange: The power bourse posted a nearly 75 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 77.38 crore for the September quarter, mainly on the back of higher revenues. The consolidated net profit of the company stood at Rs 44.33 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
TVS Motor Company: The two wheeler player posted a 29.19 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 234.37 crore for the second quarter ended September. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 181.41 crore in the July-September period of the previous fiscal.
GAIL (India): The State-owned player will build India’s largest green hydrogen-making plant as it looks to supplement its natural gas business with carbon-free fuel.
JK Cement: The cement player said it has signed a pact with Punjab Renewable Energy Systems (PRESPL) to scale up the use of biomass-based and alternative fuels as a replacement to fossil fuels like coal in its manufacturing operations.
ICICI Lombard: The private sector general insurer reported a marginal increase in net income at Rs 446 crore for the three months to September compared to the year-ago period, boosted by lower COVID claims at Rs 180 crore. In the same period a year ago, the company’s net income stood at Rs 416 crore.
LIC Housing Finance: The mortgage lender reported a 68.66 per cent decline in its standalone profit after tax at Rs 247.86 crore in the September quarter on higher provisioning for non-performing loans.
Syngene International: The pharma firm reported a 20.8 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 66.7 crore for the second quarter ended September. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 84.1 crore in the September quarter of the previous fiscal.
Mphasis: The IT firm reported a 14.1 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 341.4 crore for the September 2021 quarter. The company’s net profit stood at Rs 299.2 crore in the year-ago period,
said.
KEC International: The RPG Group company said it has secured new orders worth Rs 1,829 crore across its various businesses. In the transmission and distribution (T&D) vertical, it has secured orders worth Rs 656 crore for projects in Europe and Americas.
Tanla Platforms: The cloud communications company posted an around 67 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 136.17 crore for the second quarter ended September. It had posted a net profit of Rs 81.47 crore in the same period a year ago.
Container Corporation of India: The state-owned multi-modal logistics company reported a 41.25 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 248.29 crore for the second quarter. The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 175.77 crore in the year-ago period.
IDBI Bank: The LIC owned lender reported a 75 per cent jump in its standalone profit after tax to Rs 567 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, on higher interest income. It had reported a standalone profit after tax of Rs 324 crore in the year-ago quarter.
IIFL Securities: The brokerage firm reported a 41 per cent jump in profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 72.1 crore in three months ended September 2021. The company had posted a PAT of Rs 50.91 crore in the same period preceding fiscal.
Macrotech Developers: The realty firm reported its consolidated net profit at Rs 223.36 crore for the quarter ended September and announced plans to raise up to Rs 4,000 crore through issue of securities. The company had posted a net loss of Rs 362.58 crore in the year-ago period.
Indian Hotels: The Tata group hospitality firm reported narrowing of its consolidated net loss at Rs 130.92 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, on the back of recovery of demand, especially in leisure destinations.
Bank: The Kerala based private sector lender reported a net loss of Rs 187 crore for the September quarter, hit by higher bad loans. It had posted a net profit of Rs 65.10 crore in the same period a year ago.
Kirloskar Pneumatic Company: The air refrigeration and gas compression business firm reported a Rs 11.4-crore net income for the September 2021 quarter, up from Rs 5.9 crore a year ago.
Music Broadcast: The owner of Radio City reported a net profit of Rs 0.29 crore for the second quarter ended September 30. The company had posted a net loss of Rs 6.48 crore during the July-September quarter of the previous fiscal.
