Gland Pharma(up 2.02 per cent), Lupin(up 1.05 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.46 per cent), Pfizer(up 0.38 per cent) and Torrent Pharmaceuticals(up 0.35 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Laurus(down 4.94 per cent), Biocon(down 3.87 per cent), Natco Pharma(down 1.4 per cent), Abbott India(down 1.11 per cent) and Alembic Pharmaceuticals(down 1.04 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.32 per cent at 14124.9 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 106.2 points at 18284.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 440.02 points at 61363.52.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.
