NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 206.93 points down at 61143.33 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Unique Organics(down 20.00 per cent), IRB Infra Dev.(down 9.99 per cent), Narayani Steels(down 9.86 per cent), Silver Oak(down 9.77 per cent) and Soma Textiles(down 9.26 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 23 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 57.45 points down at 18210.95.
On the BSE, Focus Business Solution Ltd., Transglobe Foods, Roopshri Resorts, MAC Hotels and Nexus Commoditie hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Singer India, KDDL Ltd, TTK Prestige, Dhabriya Polywood and Transport Corp touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
