NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 354.08 points down at 60789.25 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Gensol Engg(down 10.82 per cent), Bothra Metals(down 10.00 per cent), Evans Electric(down 9.97 per cent), Narayani Steels(down 9.94 per cent) and Resonance Spec(down 9.42 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 14 stocks traded in the green, while 36 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 116.55 points down at 18094.4.
On the BSE, Adishakti Loha and Ispat Ltd., Ramco Systems, Aashka Hospitals Ltd., Indian Bright and SREI Infra Fin hit their fresh 52-week lows, while SEL Manufact, Shree Hanuman Sugar & Industries Ltd., SMS Lifesciences Ind, Super Sales Ltd and Gujarat Craft touched their fresh 52-week highs.
