NEW DELHI: IRCTC(Rs. 6655.02 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 2433.17 crore), RIL(Rs. 1673.68 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 1594.42 crore), SBI(Rs. 1576.23 crore), Canara Bank (Rs. 1518.06 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1501.91 crore), TCS(Rs. 1356.16 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1255.28 crore) and InterGlobe(Rs. 1109.21 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 185.6 points down at 17671.65, while BSE Sensex fell 677.77 points to 59306.93.
In the Nifty index, UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 2.54 per cent), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.95 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd.(up 1.57 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.53 per cent) and Cipla Ltd.(up 1.49 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 3.62 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 3.42 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 3.21 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 3.04 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 2.62 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
