NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 8.76 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 7.09 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 6.69 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 4.69 crore), BHEL(number of shares traded: 4.16 crore), IRCTC(number of shares traded: 4.02 crore), Bank of Baroda(number of shares traded: 3.91 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 2.68 crore), Canara Bank (number of shares traded: 2.58 crore) and NMDC(number of shares traded: 2.33 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:57AM in Friday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 41.6 points up at 17898.85, while BSE Sensex was up 88.99 points at 60073.69 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 3.02 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.06 per cent), State Bank of India(up 1.90 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.76 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.72 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While NTPC Ltd.(down 1.20 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.04 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 0.79 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
