Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 55.25 points to 17802.0 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd., D K Enterprises Global Ltd., Felix Industries, Bombay Metrics Supply Chain Ltd. and SREI Infra Fin, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 25 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 25 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Steel, Adani Ports SEZ, JSW Steel, Coal India Ltd and ITC were among top gainers, while HDFC, Kotak Bank, RIL, Eicher Motors and BPCL traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 217.79 points down at 59766.91 at 10:09AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Industrial Equipment, Metals – Ferrous, Mining, Beverages – Alcoholic and Shipping sectors, while selling was visible in Miscellaneous, Tourism & Hospitality, Learning & Education, Services and Trading sectors.
