Indiabulls Real Estate(up 8.02 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 4.52 per cent), DLF(up 3.83 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 3.75 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 2.51 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Macrotech Developers(down 0.88 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 3.07 per cent at 534.75 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 36.95 points at 17892.7, while the BSE Sensex was down 151.31 points at 59987.15.
