NTL(up 4.76%), Orient Green Power Company(up 4.55%), K.P.I. Global Infras(up 3.78%), Tata Power Company(up 3.27%), Reliance Power(up 2.86%), Karma Energy(up 2.80%), Torrent Power(up 2.60%), NTPC(up 2.27%), ABBPP&SLTD(up 2.16%) and DPSC(up 1.94%) were among the top gainers.
Indowind Energy(down 4.57%), Kalpataru Power Transmission(down 2.82%), Jyoti Structures(down 2.44%), KEC International(down 2.32%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 1.29%), Voltamp Transformers(down 1.26%), PTC India(down 0.98%), ADANIGREEN(down 0.64%), JSW Energy(down 0.51%) and Energy Development Company(down 0.48%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 45.25 points down at 17884.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 183.78 points at 59954.68 at around 11:01AM.
Maruti Suzuki(up 3.21%), NTPC(up 2.23%), Tata Motors(up 1.24%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.23%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.05%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.05%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.96%), Bajaj Finserv(up 0.84%), Bajaj Finance(up 0.78%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.77%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 2.75%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.49%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.47%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.28%), Reliance Industries(down 1.03%), Tata Steel(down 0.94%), Grasim Industries(down 0.76%), HDFC(down 0.67%), JSW Steel(down 0.66%) and HCL Technologies(down 0.62%) were trading in the red.
