NEW DELHI: SBI(Rs. 4278.94 crore), L&T(Rs. 2187.82 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 1654.47 crore), RIL(Rs. 1376.47 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 1141.62 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1120.45 crore), HDFC(Rs. 1081.85 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 938.19 crore), IRCTC(Rs. 837.18 crore) and HDFC Bank(Rs. 814.67 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 59.75 points down at 17829.2, while BSE Sensex fell 257.14 points to 59771.92.
In the Nifty index, Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 4.07 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.38 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 2.33 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 2.26 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(up 2.17 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 3.37 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.85 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 2.08 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.88 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.87 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
