NEW DELHI: SBI(numbers of share traded: 8.08 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 7.88 crore), Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 6.92 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 6.40 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.10 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 5.00 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 4.09 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 4.00 crore), IDFC First Bank(numbers of share traded: 3.26 crore) and Canara Bank (numbers of share traded: 3.11 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 59.75 points down at 17829.2, while BSE Sensex ended down 257.14 points at 59771.92.
On the other hand, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 3.37 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.85 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 2.08 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.88 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.87 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
