Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 2.04%), Torrent Power(down 1.90%), NHPC(down 1.90%), Reliance Power(down 1.70%), JSW Energy(down 0.83%), Adani Power(down 0.67%), Tata Power Company(down 0.46%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.19%) and CESC(down 0.17%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 69.2 points up at 17958.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 211.81 points at 60240.87 at around 10:40AM.
UPL Ltd(up 4.85%), Larsen & Toubro(up 4.32%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 2.52%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.72%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.58%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.53%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.36%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.21%), SBI Life(up 1.07%) and JSW Steel(up 0.91%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.88%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.21%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.69%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.47%), Britannia Industries(down 0.46%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.46%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.31%), ITC(down 0.2%), Shree Cement(down 0.2%) and Nestle India(down 0.18%) were trading in the red.
