NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 11.46 points up at 60079.08 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Atam Valves(down 17.46 per cent), Real Strips(down 17.20 per cent), IndusInd Bank(down 10.36 per cent), United Credit(down 10.00 per cent) and Arcee Ind(down 9.74 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 28 stocks traded in the green, while 22 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 9.6 points up at 17926.4.
On the BSE, Palm Jewels, Jiya Eco Products Lt, PC Products, PFL Infotech and Nexus Commoditie hit their fresh 52-week lows, while CWD Ltd., Sukhjit Starch, Manomay Tex India, Bansal Roofing Prod. and Mangalam Organics touched their fresh 52-week highs.
