NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 3.79 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 2.61 crore), Bank of Baroda(number of shares traded: 2.58 crore), Sintex Plastics Tech(number of shares traded: 2.45 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 2.28 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 2.13 crore), Canara Bank (number of shares traded: 1.80 crore), BHEL(number of shares traded: 1.77 crore), Union Bank India(number of shares traded: 1.70 crore) and IndusInd Bank(number of shares traded: 1.63 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:40AM in Monday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 45.2 points down at 17871.6, while BSE Sensex was down 176.32 points at 59891.3 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 3.80 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.(up 3.12 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.31 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(up 2.14 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.93 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 11.98 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 7.80 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.06 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.51 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.36 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
