Mindtree(up 2.38 per cent), Coforge(up 1.44 per cent), Tech Mahindra(up 1.36 per cent), L&T Technology(up 1.09 per cent) and MPhasis(up 0.82 per cent) were among the top gainers.
HCL Technologies(down 0.75 per cent) and Tata Consultancy(down 0.59 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.29 per cent at 35437.2 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 24.3 points at 17892.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 101.3 points at 59966.32.
