NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Talbros Engineering(19.99%), S H Kelkar & Co.(19.99%), Gokul Refoils(19.88%), Williamson Magor(19.83%), Yash Management(17.62%) and SM Auto(15.36%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 112.16 points down at 60433.45, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 24.3 points down at 18044.25.
In the Nifty50 index, 26 stocks closed in the green, while 24 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Gokul Refoils, Mangalam Organics, Allied Digital, Esab India and Shoppers Stop hit their fresh 52-week high, while SBL Infratech Ltd., Palm Jewels, KCD Industries India, Nova Pub and Bangalore Fort Farms touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
