MPhasis(up 1.58 per cent), Mindtree(up 1.14 per cent), Wipro(up 0.96 per cent), L&T Technology(up 0.6 per cent) and Coforge(up 0.54 per cent) were among the top gainers.
HCL Technologies(down 0.03 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.52 per cent at 35969.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 6.75 points at 18061.8, while the BSE Sensex was down 61.89 points at 60483.72.
