Shares of Ipca Laboratories(up 2.89 per cent), Divis Laboratories(up 1.12 per cent), Lupin(up 0.87 per cent), Cadila Healthcare(up 0.79 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma(up 0.74 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Torrent Pharmaceuticals(down 1.91 per cent), Laurus(down 1.33 per cent), Gland Pharma(down 0.9 per cent), Alembic Pharmaceuticals(down 0.76 per cent) and Biocon(down 0.5 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.2 per cent up at 13878.7.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 24.3 points at 18044.25, while the BSE Sensex stood down 112.16 points at 60433.45.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 ended in the green, while 24 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Power, SAIL, BHEL and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Patel Integrat(PP), Lakshmi Finance, Gokul Refoils, Mangalam Organics and Allied Digital hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Priti International, Quadpro ITeS Ltd., Opto Circuits, Radha Madhav and Shrem InvIT hit their fresh 52-week lows.
