Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 37.05 points to 18031.5 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Quadpro ITeS Ltd. and Opto Circuits, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 26 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 24 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Motors, Grasim Inds., M&M, Bajaj Auto and SBI were among top gainers, while Britannia, Titan Company, HDFC Bank, Kotak Bank and HDFC traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 167.36 points down at 60378.25 at 11:21AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Defence, Auto, Beverages – Alcoholic, Plastics and Industrial Equipment sectors, while selling was visible in Miscellaneous, Tourism & Hospitality, Learning & Education, Services and Industrial Consumables sectors.
