NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd.(up 80.98%), Shardul Sec(up 19.99%), Blue Chip Tex(up 19.98%), Williamson Magor(up 19.93%) and CFSL Ltd.(up 16.89%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 274.68 points down at 60158.77, while the 50-share index, NSE was 79.4 points down at 17964.85.
In the Nifty50 index, 19 stocks traded in the green, while 31 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd., Shardul Sec, Blue Chip Tex, Williamson Magor and Lakshmi Electr hit their fresh 52-week high, while Patel Integrat(PP), Vikas WSP, Transglobe Foods, Narayani Steels and Kansal Fibres touched their new 52-week low during the session.
