NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 321.91 points down at 60111.54 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Patel Integrat(down 29.86 per cent), A-1 Acid(down 12.10 per cent), Regent Enterprises (down 10.31 per cent), Gujarat Lease(down 9.84 per cent) and Econo Trade(I)(down 9.71 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 20 stocks traded in the green, while 30 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 93.35 points down at 17950.9.
On the BSE, Patel Integrat(PP), Vikas WSP, Narayani Steels, PC Products and Sun Retail hit their fresh 52-week lows, while FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd., Shardul Sec, Blue Chip Tex, Williamson Magor and Baid Leasing touched their fresh 52-week highs.
