The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 41.95 points up at 17915.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 95.86 points at 60015.55 at around 10:40AM.
Hindalco Industries(up 2.32%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 2.23%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.96%), Grasim Industries(up 1.12%), SBI Life(up 1.11%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.1%), Britannia Industries(up 1.1%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.94%), Wipro(up 0.94%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.85%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Auto(down 1.75%), State Bank of India(down 1.33%), NTPC(down 0.95%), Tata Steel(down 0.82%), Tata Motors(down 0.56%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.48%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.45%), JSW Steel(down 0.32%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.3%) and Divis Laboratories(down 0.21%) were trading in the red.
