Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Monday’s session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 32.02 points up at 60718.71 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Captain Pipes(down 19.99 per cent), Mayukh Dealtrade(down 19.97 per cent), S R G Sec. Fin.(down 19.23 per cent), Garnet Const(down 16.23 per cent) and Vasundhara Rasayans(down 15.41 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.

In the Nifty pack, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.

The index closed 6.7 points up at 18109.45.

On the BSE, S R G Sec. Fin., IOL Chemicals, Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd., SJS Enterprises Ltd. and Alfa Transform hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sigachi Industries Ltd., PB Fintech Ltd., Monte Carlo Fashion, Lovable Lingerie and Mirza Intnl touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
