Bharat Forge(up 2.45 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(up 2.22 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 1.11 per cent), TIINDIA(up 1.04 per cent) and Balkrishna Industries(up 0.67 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Amara Raja Batteries(down 1.41 per cent), Bosch(down 1.0 per cent), Ashok Leyland(down 0.96 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.9 per cent) and Bajaj Auto(down 0.71 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.17 per cent at 11726.45 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 39.0 points at 18141.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 150.49 points at 60837.18.
